  8月21日,13块由保定“陨石猎人”赵志强等在罗布泊发现的陨石,被国际陨石学会命名为罗布泊陨石、楼兰陨石、小河墓地陨石和兴地陨石,填补了国际陨石数据库罗布泊命名空白。据悉,2012年11月,中国陨石网发起人赵志强在罗布泊当地野人俱乐部的武宗云、刘福英和刘生等人的协助下,深入罗布泊“猎陨”,在随后的21天里发现并收集到16块“疑似陨石”,其中13块被确认为陨石并获得国际命名。

  罗布泊“猎陨”

  8月22日,在保定高新区科技园办公室,记者见到了陨石的发现者赵志强。

  赵志强是中国陨石网的创始人,也是一名陨石爱好收藏家。2012年11月,他来到新疆罗布泊开始“拯救黑洞里哭泣的星星”活动。当月1日到21日,短短21天的罗布泊“猎陨”行动共收获16块“来自天外的礼物”。

  赵志强说,罗布泊天气条件极其恶劣,昼夜温差大。大风,扬沙,高低起伏的沟壑,纵横交错的沙山,直线10公里的距离,往往因为典型的雅丹地貌,需要徒步30公里左右。(2012年)11月2日上午,在罗布泊北岸,他发现了第一块儿陨石。作为一名“陨石猎人”,他激动不已,马上做了GPS定位、拍照等,记录下可供科研单位研究的数据。

  随后的日子里,他们一行又发现15块“疑似陨石”,获得一连串的惊喜。

  陨石分成60份赠与爱好者

  从发现陨石到陨石被国际陨石学会命名一共经历了 8个多月。

  赵志强回忆说,从罗布泊回来后,他就带着“心爱的陨石”,于12月6日赶到中科院南京紫金山天文台进行检测并联系捐赠等事宜,力争早日取得罗布泊、楼兰、小河墓地和兴地的国际陨石命名,让罗布泊陨石融入世界陨石家谱。

  赵志强说,随后,南京紫金山天文台切割下陨石的20%作为标本,剩余的陨石又还给了他。

  如今,在赵志强处,记者看到金属展架上摆放着各种各样的石头、陨石、琥珀等。当被问起剩余的罗布泊陨石如何处理时,赵志强轻松地说,陨石已经被他分成60份赠与陨石爱好者和收藏家了,还有一部分赠与国家科研机构。

  陨石命名填补国际空白

  “陨石有一定的市场价值,但我觉得不如与大家一起分享,赠与科研单位普及科普知识意义更大。”赵志强一边笑着,一边拿出一块自己保留的陨石— 表面呈褐色,摸上去手感粗糙,掂在手里有点分量。

  据南京紫金山天文台研究员徐伟彪介绍,赵志强共送来16块“陨石”。经鉴定,其中13块确认为陨石,均属于普通球粒陨石,是掉落在罗布泊区域的太阳系的小行星碎片。在对陨石分别取样后,他们向国际陨石学会申请国际命名。国际陨石学会经检查、确认,于今年8月21日按照发现地分别给13块陨石命名为罗布泊陨石、楼兰陨石、小河墓地陨石和兴地陨石。“通过命名,使罗布泊地区发现陨石的消息得到了世界公认,填补了国际陨石数据库罗布泊命名空白。”
